As one of the nine sub-venues, Xiamen in Fujian province launched a consumption promotional event on Jan 10 for the Chinese New Year shopping festival.
The event will run until Feb 7 and includes a series of promotional consumption activities both online and offline.
The launch ceremony gathered various time-honored Xiamen brands and invited Taiwan youths to stage performances.
Xiamen has organized 14 activities for the 29-day event.
For instance, Xiamen municipal bureau of commerce will hold promotional consumption activities during the Spring Festival holiday to encourage supermarkets and catering businesses to give out coupons on online platforms.
On top of that, Xiamen's e-commerce livestream bases have carried out a series of activities such as inviting anchors to promote brandname products from Xiamen and Taiwan.
Xiamen's districts will also hold various promotional consumption activities during the Spring Festival holiday.
The Xiamen sub-venue will hold special activities for rural revitalization, promoting tourist attractions in each district, and for Taiwan people selling their products.
In addition, the Xiamen sub-venue will carry out special competition during the festival such as naming Xiamen brandname products and evaluating popular consumer goods.
